What makes tactical pants different from regular pants?

What makes tactical pants different from regular pants?

Military pants are distinguished primarily by their extra pockets - this is how we distinguish the models commonly called militia. Initially military pants they just had extra pockets and a wider cut that increased freedom of movement. Today's tactical models are designed differently - their legs are narrower and the cut is similar to civilian pants. However, they are still distinguished by providing freedom of movement and what we appreciate them most for - a large number of functional pockets. What else makes tactical pants different from regular pants?

Practical pockets in tactical pants

Designed for the military and uniformed services, the pants are distinguished at first glance by the number of pockets. Capacious cargo pockets even allow us to hide magazines in them, for example. Of course, this is not the end - modern models have up to 11 pockets, which will allow us to carry with us many necessary accessories. In the case of uniformed services, such extras as the aforementioned dedicated pockets for transporting magazines, or a place designed to hook up a multitool or flashlight, will be appreciated.

The civilian recipient may not be interested in pockets for magazines, but everyone will appreciate the extra pocket allowing to comfortably carry a wallet, phone, pen, house and car keys, pocket knife, tissues or even dried beef as a snack during a trip to the woods. In models with a large number of pockets you can easily fit all the things you need, at the same time you will not have the impression of being overloaded.

Wide belt loops allow you to wear pants with your favorite belt, but also to attach a gun holster or tactical belt, which can also have a place to store various items.

Durability of military pants

In addition, the tactical pants are specially reinforced at critical points. They are originally designed for demanding tasks, so they cannot break at the crotch or knees. Their durability is much higher than pants available in chains. This is due to special materials, reinforced seams and other small elements that are not paid attention to in the civilian market.

Already at the design stage of the pants, attention is paid to avoiding all kinds of rips and abrasions even during extremely heavy use. It is precisely this durability that makes such pants great for all kinds of services, during exercises and maneuvers on the training ground.

Many of the models available on the market have additional reinforcements in such key areas as the crotch or knees. This is achieved by sewing on an extra layer of material. Even during very intense exertion, we do not have to worry that we will hear the sound of the material ripping. When climbing in the mountains, on very demanding chain climbs, we will quickly appreciate the material's resistance to abrasion. Thus, we are able to protect our body from all superficial scratches and light abrasions.

However, how to know the material that will effectively protect us from light injuries? Rip-stop weave fabric is most often used for sewing tactical pants. When shopping, it is easy to recognize it thanks to the characteristic grid structure. Such a fabric texture is a consequence of reinforcing the material at regular intervals with fibers of greater strength. Even in the case of a slight overcut of such material, it continues to provide great strength, and will not tear further during stretching or in the wash.

This is not the only type of material used in the production of tactical pants. Models modeled after the M65 are most often made from cotton with a very dense weave, so you get high resistance to abrasion. Key in terms of durability are also, of course, the seams. Here a popular practice is to use double and sometimes even triple seams. This way we do not have to worry about cracks at the joining of the material. Of practical hints, it is also worth paying attention to the density of the stitch in sewing. A denser stitch is stiffer, and therefore more durable.

Some models are designed to accommodate protective inserts at knee height. The inserts can be used during training, ASG games or outings to the woods. They protect the knees from abrasions and bruises.

Tactical pants (not only) in camouflage

In the MILITARY.PL store you will find a large selection of camouflage tactical pants as well as plain ones. Depending on the conditions in which you will use the pants, you can choose the appropriate pattern. Camouflage patterns are available, which works well in different terrains - in forests, deserts or cities. There are also pants without patterns, black, olive, beige, khaki, desert, gray. They meet the requirements of low profile tactics and are suitable for everyday use in urban conditions, when you can simply choose your favorite color.

Everyday comfort

A mass of extras, pockets, double stitching, reinforced material, everything sounds great, but what about comfort. Comfort is there, and what comfort! Tactical pants, as intended, are supposed to serve in varied conditions, be practical and protect our body from all unfavorable external factors. These are not pants in which we go out on holidays, but a product that we are supposed to wear comfortably all day long, no matter what we are doing. Comfort is even an obligation here.

One more feature not usually found in civilian pants is an adjustable and/or elastic waistband that can be adjusted to the figure. Such a solution ensures that military pants stay where they should, even during quick movements. The pants won't slip down when you have to suddenly move to run, even if you have a full load of stuff in your pockets.

Many available models, in addition to the classic wide combat boots, offer slimmer cuts with a better fit. Large cargo pockets are often replaced by more body-hugging zippered pockets, with a slight overlap of material that only becomes more prominent when you drop something into the pocket. When not in use - it is unnoticeable. The material is durable, but thanks to the Rip-stop weave it is quite thin and not stiff. As a result, it does not restrict movement, allowing us full freedom of action. The comfort of wearing such pants makes them a great product not only for people who spend their free time in the woods, by the river or in the mountains. Tactical pants are also a good outfit for the city.
