Air quality deterioration occurs during the heating season, and the main source of pollution remains the so-called low emissions - that is, the burning of non-industrial fossil fuels. The most harmful are those from heating stoves and local coal-fired boiler plants. Among other things, this leads to smog, consisting of particulate matter, soot, sulfur oxides, nitrogen oxides and carbon monoxide. It adversely affects our respiratory, circulatory and nervous systems and can even lead to cancer.
