In recent years, the concept of situational awareness, which is used in their training and applied on a daily basis by special units around the world, has been gaining popularity. It refers to the perception of the surrounding world and its elements that we miss or do not pay attention to on a daily basis, because we are simply not taught to pay attention to the situations we encounter on a daily basis. This is an interesting aspect of the human psyche that we recommend becoming familiar with, as it is also useful in everyday life - for example, when traveling or simply driving around town. It's good to realize one thing - that dangers and threats are lurking literally everywhere, and many of them can unfortunately befall you. Of course, this is not about inducing paranoia, but just this awareness to be ready for all kinds of situations, for example, traffic accidents. In all likelihood, it can be assumed that you have once come into contact with a car accident or a person fainting on the street, but were prevented from helping by the lack of equipment, i.e. a first aid kit. More and more often, even passersby have first aid resources in their backpack. In this category we present our offer of first aid kits from Mil-Tec - a German company with extensive experience in producing military-tactical and outdoor equipment.

The Mil-Tec company originates from Germany and began its forays into the market around 1970, where it began distributing equipment from the German army demobilization. It was probably thanks to this company that you came across the legendary M65 pants or pilot jackets and military parkas in the 1990s. Growing more and more, this company began to create everything needed for the uniformed services - boots, backpacks, as well as accessories like the aforementioned first aid kit models. Mil-Tec is aware of the need for good equipment on the trail and on the training ground, so it offers a diverse selection of such equipment to satisfy the widest possible range of users.

Depending on your profession or the activity you prefer on a daily basis, you can choose from different models of first aid kits adapted to different tasks. Mil-Tec first aid kits come in different configurations and covers to best suit the tasks in which they will be used. Depending on the model, the interior of the tray may vary slightly. The equipment base is mainly two types of bandages, plasters, safety pins, emergency films, scissors and gloves. In most cases, it is ultimately up to you to determine what should go in it, and it will be up to you to decide what else to put in it, which is why the manufacturer usually leaves some room for additional equipment. For our part, we can recommend a small battery-operated flashlight or chemical lights for low-visibility conditions. In the Millitary.co.uk store you will find a wide variety of useful accessories that you may want to include in your new first aid kit.

The second important thing is the covers and materials of the first aid kits. Mil-Tec focuses on good quality and an affordable price for its products. In the offer of the German manufacturer you will find typical first-aid kits made of polyester, which do not take up much space and if they are equipped with MOLLE straps - you can easily attach them to your trouser belt or backpack so that they do not take up valuable space and are quickly and easily accessible. If you need a bit more durable packaging for a medical assortment, choose a container made of plastic - especially if there are drugs or items sensitive to damage inside, such as ampoules. Such a container has increased resistance to mechanical damage, and also handles rain a little better. For lifeguards and those working near bodies of water, completely waterproof first aid kits made of durable PVC in the form of bags or trays with a typical watertight closure are a good idea.
