For many people, coffee is an integral part of every morning. It is a great way to start the day, but not only - we drink it more and more willingly in coffee shops, during a break at work or when meeting with friends. It is one of the most popular stimulants in the world, which in reasonable quantities supports the functioning of our body and gives a boost of energy for the whole day. It is no different in the field, when, after many kilometers traveled, you can finally sit by the fire or during a break in your journey and enjoy the excellent aroma of your favorite beverage. A growing number of hiking food manufacturers offer hiking coffee that you can carry in your backpack for a trip into the woods. Ground arabica coffee is one of the most popular varieties of coffee in the world and accounts for ninety percent of the entire global crop. So it's no wonder we'd like to have a supply of it with us wherever we travel.

Kaffa, the plant from which the ground seeds make the black energy drink, originated in Ethiopia and appeared in Europe around the 16th century, gaining great popularity on the march and replacing tea. Its name most likely comes from the Arabic kahwa, but some sources say it originated in the Ethiopian city of Kaffa (today: Kefa). It is grown in the Americas, as well as Oceania and Africa.

In arabica ground coffee, available in our store, the most important thing is caffeine, which plays a stimulating role. It stimulates the brain and muscles to action, giving a shot of new energy, increases focus and thinking efficiency. Its direct effect on our body and mind is felt about an hour after drinking it. Its positive properties are difficult to count, but we will mention at least a few of them. First, it is scientifically proven to improve short-term memory and cognitive abilities. It is a source of antioxidants, reduces the risk of bowel and liver cancer, and reduces the risk of type II diabetes by up to fifty percent. In addition, it improves circulation, the digestive system and increases metabolism. This is why it is so often chosen by hikers who sometimes need an extra , "kick" during demanding hikes.

You can find Arabica ground coffee in our store in various capacities and packages. From specially selected grades, we offer small, easy-to-pack packs that provide one or several servings of this popular beverage. They have the added advantage of being waterproof, so you don't have to worry about the pack getting wet in the rain and dirtying the gear you carry in your backpack or bag. In the field, you often don't have access to electricity or take a kettle with you, but there are several ways to remedy this. Of course, there is always the option of preparing it at home and taking it with you in a thermos. However, we assure you that coffee prepared with your own hands in the field tastes much better and is a due reward for all the effort you put into preparing it. If you have coffee beans, you can brew cowboy coffee - just boil water, throw in the coffee beans, then reduce the flame and wait for the beans to settle to the bottom of the pot. This kind is best prepared with gas burners, because with a campfire it is difficult to regulate the flame level. Some manufacturers have begun to add small filters to specially prepared sets, which will allow you to brew coffee without grounds, which many of us hate. An interesting piece of equipment can become a small coffee maker, various models of which are offered by many companies dealing with tourist equipment. One common mistake is pouring boiling water over coffee - it destroys the coffee itself and the aroma. The water with which you pour your favorite beverage should be 88-94 degrees. So just wait a while for the water to cool down a bit after boiling.

Arabica ground coffee is a stimulant, so moderation is necessary with its use and frequency of consumption. Anything in excess can harm your health. Make sure you have eaten a solid meal and don't drink coffee on an empty stomach. Also be sure that the water you used to boil comes from a good source. If you took it from a stream or creek - walk a few hundred meters up it to make sure the water is clean. The safest thing to do, however, is to use your own supply of water, which you will be sure of in terms of potability.
