Thanks to the use of two independent rotating mechanisms, the transferred weight can be greater than in the case of single blocks. Among double pulleys, we can also distinguish tandems, or double pulleys, where the sheaves have been arranged one behind the other in a single line. Another division that we can see among climbing blocks is the distinction by bearing type. In the described equipment we can find a plain bearing or a ball bearing. The former are commonly found and are sufficient for most applications. They are cheaper to produce, built from a rotating roller, inside of which a brass lubricated sleeve is mounted. Ball bearings, on the other hand, will work well for very heavy loads, as they are characterized by much greater strength. In addition, they also differ in higher price and construction - between the rotating roller and the bearing sleeve there is an additional element, which is movable metal balls. They increase the strength of the system.
