Alpha Industries MA-1 Heritage Jacket - Plum

Comfortable reversible jacket with a slightly fitted fit inspired by the popular MA-1 Flyers flight jackets.

The upper layer is made of sturdy and abrasion-resistant nylon, which protects against wind and moisture. Synthetic polyester fiber fill ensures thermal comfort in lower temperatures.

The MA1 can be worn on either side. The inside has a distinctive orange color, referring to the original purpose of MA-1 jackets, which were used by USAF pilots. In the event of an emergency landing or shoot-down, the bright color increased the chances of being quickly found by emergency services. Nowadays, this solution can be useful when walking on unlit roads.

The closure of the MA-1 Heritage jacket is a one-way zipper with an eco-leather handle for easy use with gloves. An internal thermal strip protects the zipper, further protecting against the cold. There are elastic welts at the collar, cuffs and waistband to keep out the cold and improve the jacket's fit.

The jacket has five roomy pockets:

• Two front ones closed with patches and press studs,
• two internal ones closed with press studs,
• one on the left sleeve, closed with a zipper.

A Remove Before Flight tag was placed on the sleeve near the pocket, adding to the military style. On the left sleeve is a tag with the manufacturer's logo.
