Alpinus Otway 50 l Backpack - Black

The 50L capacity hiking backpack is made of lightweight yet durable 400D nylon with waterproof properties. The backpack can be further protected from rain with an integrated rain cover with Alpinus Safety reflective elements. Despite its large capacity, the backpack does not stand out strongly from the back, making it suitable for mountain hiking, ferrata and as a climbing backpack.

It is equipped with 4 pockets and a top-loading, roomy main compartment that allows you to pack larger items such as a sleeping bag or climbing rope. Access to the gear inside it is facilitated by a U-shaped zipper on the front. Inside the compartment there is a mesh pocket for small items and a compartment for a laptop or hydration cartridge.

A pocket on the front of the backpack and two large side pockets will make it easy to organize the items you carry, while a top pocket in the lid of the main compartment is capable of holding a biking or climbing helmet. Carrying water bottles is made possible by two pockets made of elastic material located on both sides of the backpack. Items that you want to always have at hand, such as a camera or snacks, can be carried in two pockets located on the waist belt.

Items that don't fit inside, such as trekking poles, can be clipped on using laminated loops on the front of the backpack. Compression straps equipped with UTX buckles allow you to adjust the size of the backpack according to its contents.

The carrying system consists of adjustable foam-filled harnesses , which are covered with a mesh material for high carrying comfort. The wide hip belt allows to relieve the pressure on the back, making it significantly easier to carry a heavy backpack. The anatomically contoured back is padded with a removable frame.
