Book "Afganistan na kołach" - Naval

Afghanistan on Wheels is another in Naval's series of books recounting his war experiences. This time GROM moves from Iraq to Afghanistan, although Polish troops are still stationed in Iraq and internal conflict is ongoing.

GROM in Afghanistan operates as an independent Task Force in the Canadian zone of responsibility, Kandahar province. Afghanistan is a mosaic of cultures, a diverse population with different values and principles. GROM operators, in addition to performing special operations, must learn to function among strangers.

Afghanistan is a country with a very harsh climate, where, on par with the unpredictable enemy, a huge threat is the climate and the mines left by the Russians. The book can safely be classified as a "road" book. Most combat operations are carried out using Humvee all-terrain vehicles, these vehicles are not only a force of arms, but during multi-day patrols they become homes on wheels. The regions of operation reached by their modern wheeled caravan often turn out to be forgotten places not only by our world, but also by Afghanistan on the map. As you read this book, you and the Naval will get to places where no man outside Afghanistan has been seen for a very long time.

NAVAL served in GROM for fourteen years as an operator in a combat team. Much of that time was spent on overseas missions in the Persian Gulf, Iraq and Afghanistan. He was decorated for his service on numerous occasions, including the highest military honors one can receive in Poland for combat deeds outside the country, including the Knight's Cross of the Order of the Military Cross, the Commander's Cross of the Order of the Military Cross and the GROM Gold Badge. He was the prototype of the GROM character for the computer game Medal of Honor. Warfighter. He hosted the survival program Expedition - Explorers of the Second Nature and the authorial program Naval Shooting Range on POLSAT Sport.
