The Discovery series are lightweight binocular models with durable construction. The aluminum, rubberized body hides the lenses built from 8 elements in 12 groups, which are multi-coated with effective anti-reflection layers. Wide eyecups and large eyepiece lenses make any observation a pleasure.
A model with a fixed magnification of 16x and a lens diameter of 50 mm. Used Porro type prism system - in which the objective lens is not coaxial with the eyepiece lens.
The binoculars have a fairly small field of view. Recommended especially for daytime observation of distant ground targets. It can be successfully used for observation of aircraft at cruising altitudes. For astronomical observations, it can be used only for bright objects, such as the Moon.
