This publication is a compendium of knowledge about tactical rescue and its importance in infantry tactical operations for those who do not deal with medical rescue on a daily basis.
Tactical rescue is a very important part of infantry tactical operations.
It was based on the Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC, TC3) guidelines and the experience of special unit operators responsible for medical operations in their subdivisions. The paper also draws on the Authors' observations and experiences as paramedics and tactical rescue instructors.
The paper also draws on the Authors' observations and experiences as paramedics and tactical rescue instructors.
The content has been compiled and presented in the form of a handbook in a way that allows those wishing to learn the basics of tactical rescue to quickly acquire the necessary knowledge and skills, allowing them to introduce it into their units as one of the basic elements of their training.
The purpose of the publication is to help develop the necessary habits and skills among operators and soldiers to provide effective aid on the battlefield, as well as to include elements of TCCC in the planning of tactical operations under the operating conditions of military as well as civilian (e.g., police) subdivisions.
In its scope, the handbook has been limited to a discussion of the activities of providing basic medical assistance necessary on the battlefield, omitting advanced medical procedures specific to further stages of rescue operations.
In its structure, the handbook is divided into four sections, discussing in turn: the concept and history of tactical rescue, preparation of soldiers and rescuer for operations, rescue operations in specific TCCC zones, and rescue in various forms of tactical operations.
The proposals presented in a readable manner will provide solid support both in the process of training subdivisions, as well as in preparation for the implementation of actual tactical tasks in various types of operations.
The book is written in Polish.
