Fjord Nansen Svalbard sleeping bag 680 Duck Hydro Mid 995 g - left
A compact and lightweight sleeping bag, providing thermal comfort in temperatures down to -4°C for women (T-comfort) and -11°C for men (T-limit). Made of extremely durable 10D Rip-Stop WR nylon material, which effectively protects against moisture thanks to its hydrophobic coating. Filling with down and feathers from European ducks provides thermal insulation and high resilience.
Fabric: 10D Rip-Stop nylon, WR coating, mummy shape, H-shaped chambers
The 10D nylon Rip-Stop fabric, both outer and inner, is characterised by its low weight and high resistance to mechanical damage, thanks to the Rip-Stop weave used. The WR coating further reduces moisture absorption, which significantly increases the functionality of the sleeping bag in harsh weather conditions. The mummy-shaped construction and H-chamber system minimise heat loss, eliminating cold spots at the seams. Additional padding in the foot zone increases comfort in cold temperatures, and an internal pocket allows storage of small items.
down and duck feather filling, 800 ciun elasticity, sprężystość 800 ciun
The sleeping bag contains down and feathers in a 92/8 ratio, providing a high spring rate of 800 cuin. The impregnated down is more resistant to moisture - it absorbs it more slowly and dries more quickly. The high compression level means that the sleeping bag takes up very little space when packed, making it an ideal choice for hiking or long expeditions.
Zip closure, drawstring at the bottom, small internal pocket
The full-length zip, located on the right side, is equipped with an Anti-Bite system to prevent the zip from jamming. A drawstring at the top provides additional protection on cold nights. The sleeping bag also has a footbox in the form of a lower drawstring, allowing the air circulation to be regulated and easily unzipped. A handy pocket for small accessories is located inside. Loops allow a liner to be fitted, which stays in place during use.
Temperature range
The most important ratings used to describe the limits and temperature ranges of sleeping bags are generally denoted by values:
- T-max - the maximum temperature at which a man of average build is able to sleep through the night without sweating excessively or waking up due to heat,
- T-comfort - the lowest temperature at which an average woman can sleep comfortably through the night,
- T-limit - the lowest temperature at which the average man can sleep through the night.
