Garrett ACE 250 Metal detector
The Garrett ACE is a modern series of metal detectors, built both for people who are just beginning their search adventure, as well as for more experienced users. The Garrett ACE 250 model is equipped with a number of useful features that make searching much easier.
Noteworthy features include discrimination that allows to distinguish between categories of detected objects. With it, it is possible to turn off notifications when unwanted objects are detected, such as steel scrap. Also useful is the PinPoint mode, which allows precise targeting. In addition, it is worth mentioning such advantages of the ACE 250 model as adjustable sensitivity, high quality workmanship, energy efficiency and simple operation, which allows convenient work in diverse terrain.
The Garrett ACE 250 metal detector is equipped with the new generation Rhino Tough PROformance coil, which is fully waterproof, so it can be fully submerged in water. The coil is attached to the bottom boom with a nut mounting screw. Above it is the upper boom on which the LCD screen with controls is mounted. The "S" type handle, which is upholstered with foam, a stand and a padded armrest are responsible for holding the detector comfortably.
All the information needed to conduct a search is displayed on an easy-to-read LCD screen. These include an operating mode indicator, a sensitivity level indicator, graphical indicators to identify the material of the find, a battery depletion indicator or a depth indicator. The detector shows four approximate depths at which the detected object may be located: 5 cm (2 inches), 10 cm (4 inches), 15 cm (6 inches), 20 cm (8 inches) and deeper.
Below the screen is located the control panel from which we operate the detector. The buttons located on it allow, among other things, to turn the detector on and off, change the operating mode, increase or decrease sensitivity or restore factory settings. It is worth mentioning that the device does not require programming. The detector is ready to work immediately after switching on.
The Ace 250 has a three-piece design, which makes the detector much easier to transport. The power supply is provided by four AA batteries so-called "sticks", which are widely available and easy to purchase. One set of batteries is included, on which the device can operate for about 20-25 hours.
