A 446 MHz (PMR) radio with a range of up to 12 km. The average range in the city among buildings and obstacles is 1 or 2 km. In a medium built-up area with single trees, the achievable range is 4-6 km. In open space without obstacles between antennas, the achievable range is 12 km. Thanks to its compact design and simple operation, the device is ideal for outdoor activities and work that requires ongoing communication.

The radio supports 99 PMR446 channels, 50 CTCSS tones and 105 DCS codes. The Midland G18 Pro offers customization options, including unlocking features such as FM radio and Compander. To do so, it is required to program the unit using the optional PRG-G15 software and programming cable, which are not included in the set, using a PC. With the Scrambler (voice encryption) function, you can have private communication within a group. The built-in VOX function allows you to automatically receive and transmit a signal without pressing the transmit button. Just start talking and the device automatically goes into transmit mode.

The housing is made of durable plastic. The internal sealing system provides IP67 waterproof rating and meets military MIL-STD810G standards.

The G18 Pro is powered by a 1600 mAh rechargeable lithium-ion battery, and the operating time on a fully charged battery is about 20 hours. The radio is equipped with an easy-to-read LCD display with orange backlighting.
