Mil-Tec MA-1 Flyers Basic Jacket - Olive

Lightweight and comfortable jacket in the popular "flyers" cut. Made of a blend of durable synthetic materials, fastened with a sturdy zipper. The outer material is nylon, while the lining is made of polyester. Protection against the cold in the most sensitive and exposed area is provided by 200 g/m2 polyester insulation on the body, and 180 g/m2 on the sleeves. Elastic welts sewn into the sleeves and at hip level provide thermal comfort, maintaining the heated air under the jacket. The main zipper has been additionally secured with an internal windproof pleat.

The jacket is equipped with five practical pockets:
- two internal,
- two external ones closed with a snap button,
- one on the left shoulder fastened with a zipper.

The outer pockets are spacious, so you can comfortably hide your hands from the cold. On the other hand, the pocket on the shoulder is ideal for storing important small items such as keys, pens or others.

The MA-1 can be worn on both the right and left side. The inner part was made in a striking orange color scheme. This distinctive design is related to the original purpose of MA-1 jackets for USAF pilots. In the event of a malfunction or shoot-down, they had a better chance of being rescued by search services. Nowadays, this ingenious solution can come in handy, for example, when moving along the side of an unlit road outside a built-up area.
