Mil-Tec MA-1 US Flight Jacket - Black

Comfortable double-sided jacket referring to the popular MA-1 Flyers pilots. The outer layer is made of durable polyester with PU coating, which protects against moisture penetration and wind. The material features increased resistance to wearing and mechanical damage. Synthetic polyester fiber filling provides thermal comfort in cold temperatures.

The jacket is equipped with five practical pockets:
- two internal,
- two external ones closed with a snap button,
- one on the left shoulder fastened with a zipper, with pen compartments.

The outer pockets are spacious, which allow to comfortably hide hands from the cold. The shoulder pocket, on the other hand, is ideal for small accessories.

The jacket fastens with a sturdy plastic zipper, finished with an eco-leather handle for easy handling with gloves. An internal thermal strip covers the zipper and further protects against cooling.

An elastic stand-up collar and adjoining welts sewn into the sleeves and at hip height prevent cold air from entering, trapping heated air under the jacket. 

The MA-1 can be worn on either the right or left side. The inner part was made in a striking orange color scheme. This distinctive solution is related to the original purpose of MA-1 jackets for USAF pilots. In the event of a malfunction or shoot-down, they had a better chance of being rescued by search services. Nowadays, this ingenious solution can come in handy, for example, when moving along the side of an unlit road outside a built-up area. When turned inside out, the pilot can be used as a warning jacket.
