Njord Kare Extra Large Hakbijl Axe
A versatile, large axe with a head made of carbon steel and an ash wood handle. Ideal for bushcraft, it will be perfect for building a shelter, preparing wood for a campfire, and felling small trees. The design is inspired by axes used by Vikings.
Carbon steel
The head is made of durable carbon steel with a hardness of 57 HRC. In addition, it has been sandblasted, which gives the surface an aged effect.
Ash wood, waterproofing with wax and oil
The shaped handle is made of ash wood, protected with a layer of beeswax and linseed oil, which effectively protects the wood against moisture and mould growth.
Set elements
The set includes a handmade leather sheath with a belt loop, allowing the axe to be carried comfortably at the belt.
