Sky-Watcher BKMAK 127 OTAW telescope Optical tube

The MAK 127 OTAW telescope is built using the Maksutov optical system, the characteristics of which are excellent image sharpness and lack of chromatic aberration. It consists of a correction plate - meniscus, main mirror and secondary mirror located on the inner part of the meniscus. Among other things, it allows you to take timelapses, photograph selected objects in a specific order, or even take full spherical panoramas. It can be described as a computerized photographic head with precise electric drive.

The telescope does not come with a mount, but it is possible to mount the tube on a photographic tripod using a suitable connector built into the tube. Due to the large focal length of the telescope, the manufacturer recommends astronomical mounts of at least AZ4 (azimuthal) or EQ3-2 (parallactic) class.
