The Sky Watcher BK1141EQ1 telescope is an ideal model for an introduction to the world of amateur astronomy. Due to its long focal length, while maintaining the small size of the optical tube. A special system has been built into the optical axis of the telescope, extending the focal length of the telescope to 1000 mm.
Optical system
Mirror telescope (Newtonian system), whose main advantage is a large 114 mm mirror. This telescope collects about 190 times more light than the human eye at night, providing the ability to observe objects up to nearly 12 stellar magnitudes (with naked eye visibility up to 6 stellar magnitudes). The size of the mirror is also related to the optical resolution, which in this telescope makes it possible to resolve stars that are more than 1.2" apart.
Mounting
The EQ1 parallactic mount allows the telescope to be positioned according to an atlas or sky map, as well as smooth micro-adjustment in the axis of rectascension and declination.
Extractor
The telescope is equipped with an eyepiece extractor, allowing the use of 1.25" eyepieces. Two eyepieces with focal lengths of 25 and 10mm are included, giving magnifications of 40x and 100x.
To invert the image, use a so-called straightening lens, which will reverse the image to natural (straight).
