Specna Arms Shortie-82 Radio

A radio designed by Specna Arms in cooperation with Baofeng. A dual-band radio with 5 W of power (the so-called duobander). The radio operates in two frequency ranges VHF and UHF. It has a large and easy-to-read two-line display, DTMF keypad, extensive menu and FM radio (65 - 108 MHz).

One of the innovative features available on the radio is Dual Watch, or dual listening mode. The device monitors two different frequencies, even in different VHF/UHF bands, and gives priority to the one on which an incoming call appears.

The model is equipped with a dual push-to-talk (PTT) button, allowing transmission on two frequencies. Also worth mentioning is the ability to connect a PTT microphone.

The Shortie-82 also has a number of features for easy identification, grouping and operation, including the ability to program from a keypad or computer, keypad lock, selective calling and the VOX function, which is the activation of voice broadcasting. It is also equipped with a large backlit LCD screen, which also shows icons to confirm the status of most built-in functions.
