Wiley X Contend Tactical glasses Captivate Polarized Blue Mirror - Matte Graphite

Sunglasses of low profile type with mechanical strength of glazing allowing to protect eyes from shrapnel, ricochets and other incoming objects according to class S (object weighing 0.43 g moving at 5 m/s).

The contoured Full Frame and sporty shape make the glasses very adaptable to the shape of the wearer's face, while not compromising comfort during all-day wear. In addition, the nose pad and temples are finished with a non-slip material that reduces slipping of the glasses during movement.

The frames, as well as the lenses of the glasses, are made with HVP™ (High Velocity Protection) technology. As a result, they protect our eyes from injuries that can be caused by objects moving at high speeds. In addition, the lenses provide eye protection against harmful UVA and UVB ultraviolet rays.

Anti-fog coating is used on the lenses, which nullifies the effect of fogging, as well as Hard coating , which protects the lenses from scratches. Polarized Captivate™ lenses minimize the risk of glare and blinding. Only a polarized beam of light is let through. As a result, reflected light rays from car windows, sheets of water, stretches of snow are seen only as specks of light and do not blind us.

Ballistic standards:

- ANSI HVP standard: according to this standard, the frame and visor will withstand the impact of a steel ball with a diameter of 6.35 mm, moving at 164.6 km/h.
- EN.166S- meets the European standard for protection against the impact of accelerated particles (Medium Energy Impact). According to the standard, the frame and visors can withstand the impact of a steel ball with a diameter of 22 mm and a weight of 0.43 g, moving at a speed of 18 km/h.
