Wisport Crafter 30 l Backpack - MAPA

The 30-liter backpack is made of damage-resistant Cordura. It is equipped with heavy-duty interlocking seams, Kroko zippers and sturdy ITW Nexus and Duraflex buckles. It will be great for both outdoor activities and weekend excursions.

The model features a capacious main compartment with top closure via a zippered flap. It can also be accessed from the front, thanks to the front opening. Inside there is a large slide-in comp artment and two zippered pockets.

There are two open pockets on the sides that allow you to carry a bottle of water or a beverage bottle. On the flap there is a zippered pocket for handy items, and at the back there is a large flat zippered pocket that can successfully hold a laptop or a water reservoir. The backpack features a hole protected by a patch and grommets on the shoulder straps, allowing you to attach a hydration system tube.

The side walls are covered with MOLLE webbing for attaching additional pockets and pouches. On the sides there are compression straps, which can be used to reduce the volume of the backpack or attach additional equipment. A system of elastic, adjustable lines on the front and adjustable straps on the top allow you to carry, for example, a jacket or sleeping bag. In addition, the backpack is equipped with numerous D-rings.

TheAFS carrying system was based on a fiberglass frame. Soft panels on the back are made of resilient foam that does not absorb moisture and covered with quick-drying fabric. Ergonomically contoured shoulders and belts (hip and chest) with a quick-release system guarantee high comfort during use.

Large rectangular Velcro on the front allows you to attach any patch or emblem, such as a national flag, unit emblem or so-called Morale Patches. Practical carrying handles allow to carry and lift the backpack comfortably.

A rain cover is included.

The camouflage pattern MAPA was designed by Maciej Dojlitko, a graduate and currently a researcher at the Faculty of Architecture and Design of the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdansk, author of, among other publications, Theory of Deconstruction of Visual Communication. Tools for designing military camouflage (Gdansk 2015). The innovative design, supported by convincing theoretical and experimental arguments, including computer analysis of thousands of photographs of the terrain, attracted the attention of specialists and military clothing manufacturers. In 2017, the MAPA camouflage made its debut at the International Defense Industry Exhibition in Kielce as a camouflage pattern for the Dromader system of armor and uniforms from Maskpol, which is part of the Polish Armament Group. The system was created for soldiers of the Territorial Defense Army, but the MAPA camouflage itself was also considered as a perspective pattern for the entire Polish Armed Forces, where it could replace the wz.93 camouflage. Unfortunately, the MAPA camouflage has not been implemented as an official camouflage pattern of the Polish Army to date.

Highlights of the MAPA camouflage in the basic forest variant:
- 6 colors that form layers resembling levels on a map,
- colors optimized for operations in the forests of Central Europe,
- use of the illusion of three-dimensionality and anamorphosis effect,
- biomorphic shapes making the design similar to vegetation,
- strongly contrasting elements imitating flashes of light and shadows,
- deformation of the masked silhouette using macro pattern,
- color noise reproduced by means of a micro pattern.

The MAPA pattern is an interesting alternative to the best contemporary camouflage patterns such as PenCott, MultiCam, Kryptek, Flecktarn or Finnish M/05. In some respects, it is more advanced than them, and better reproduces the colors found in Central European forests in the period from later spring to early autumn."
