Whetstone by Work Sharp is a double-sided ceramic whetstone with gradations of 1000/6000. It is equipped with a solid base with water reservoir and two-stage angle guides. It allows sharpening both small and large knives.
Diglin trioxide stone (colloquially aluminum oxide) is characterized by high hardness, so it is suitable for sharpening almost any steel. Gradation 1000 can be used to sharpen slightly dulled knives or pre-polish edges. Gradation 6000 is used for polishing to a so-called mirror finish and giving final sharpness.
The polymer base prevents the stone from sliding during sharpening. A water reservoir allows one side of the stone to be moistened. Magnet-mounted 15° and 17° angle guides help maintain the correct sharpening angle.
The set includes:
- stone,
- non-slip base,
- angle guides with an inclination of 15° and 17°.
Instructions for use: soak the stone in water or use sharpener oil. Place the whetstone on a flat surface. To sharpen the knife, slide on the stone (pressing lightly) several times first one, then the other side of the knife. When sharpening the knife, try to maintain the correct angle of the knife (15°-30°).
