Bushnell's compact and handy Prime 1700 laser rangefinder can instantly measure distances to the nearest meter over distances as short as 1,554 meters. It has the ability to measure distances in both the metric and yardage systems. Changing the measurement system is done with a single key located on the body of the device. The measuring distance depends on the size of the object to which the distance is measured:
- single-family house, passenger car - 1700 yd (1554 m),
- tree, large boulder - 1000 yd (914 m),
- animal - 700 yd (640 m).
The Prime rangefinder is equipped with four target reticles.
Technologies used:
- ARC (Angle Range Compensation): allows to measure the angle of the observed object from -90 to +90 degrees.
- EXO Barrier Protection: a coating on the outer lens that molecularly bonds to the lens and fills the microscopic pores in the glass. The result is an ultra-smooth coating that repels water, oil, fog and dust. Rain, snow, fingerprints and dirt don't stick either. The EXO barrier is designed to be durable, so the coated finish will not disappear with the passage of time or normal wear and tear.
- Brush and Bullseye: ignores foreground objects of grass, leaves and other small objects, and provides precise, close-up measurement of distance to small objects.
- Scan Mode: updates the target distance 4x per second.
The rangefinder meets the IPX4 waterproof standard (rain resistance).
