A blend of nylon and cotton, or NyCo fabric, was used, further reinforced with Rip-Stop weave. This technology makes the fabric more resistant to tearing, even if it gets localized damage. The inside of the hat is covered with a reflective layer, which can be used to mark the wearer's position or signal in emergency situations. In addition, a loop has been attached, allowing the hat to be clipped to a Helikon Raid sweatshirt.
Ventilation holes, wide traffic circle
The hat has four vents equipped with grilles, which protects against the entry of insects. The wide brim provides effective protection from the sun and rain. A cord has been added to the Mk2 model, allowing it to be adjusted and fastened under the chin. Above the brim there is a strap, which allows attaching small accessories, such as insect repellent or camouflage elements.
