Helikon Scout MK2 flint

Scout Mk2 is a lightweight and compact kit consisting of a ferrocerium flint, spark igniter, wadding tinder and solid fuel. The kit allows you to effectively light a fire in any conditions without the need for matches or a lighter. With the help of the flint you can light, for example, a gas stove, tourist stove or a campfire, which is a source of heat and allows you to prepare a meal away from home. It is perfect not only for camping, but also for emergency situations.

The ferrocerium flint works by vigorously abrading the flint rod with the help of the sharp edge of the sparkler. Thus, the cerium contained in the rod oxidizes and self-ignites. One movement with the spark rod allows you to produce sparks with a temperature of 3000°C, which falling on dry cotton wool will produce a flame even in severe frost or rain. The whole thing is housed in a metal tin, which makes it easy to carry the contents comfortably, thus protecting the kit from getting lost or wet.
