The axe is dedicated to simple woodworking and precision skinning. The blade is derived with a convex grind, that is, the side surfaces of the wedge are slightly convex. This increases the strength of the cutting edge. The model is named after Gunnar Ekelund, who initiated large-scale axe production in 1870-1875.
The axe head is made of forged Swedish carbon steel processed using centuries-old traditional methods. The metal is hammered up to 60 times during forging, increasing its density and strength.
The ergonomically shaped axe (handle) minimizes weight, while providing adequate force during impact. The grip is made of hickory wood, which has been preserved with linseed oil.
It comes with a leather case to protect the blade.
