The backpack's materials are covered with a polyurethane coating, which reduces the penetration of water through the fibers into the backpack.

The backpack has a classic design with a main compartment closed from the top with a flap with a single snap. On the outside of the flap there is a useful zippered pocket. On the sides there are two bottle compartments and compression straps. The contents of the backpack can also be accessed from the bottom, using a two-way zipper.

The contoured suspenders ensure a proper fit, and the soft padding on the inside minimizes the risk of rubbing shoulders after a long time of hiking with a heavy load. The suspenders are contoured so that the weight is distributed evenly on the shoulders. They are relieved by an adjustable chest strap and a wide waist belt, which features a smaller zippered pocket. In addition, there are carry handles on the suspenders for conveniently carrying the backpack in your hands or packing it on a rack.

The Norix 32 features webbing for carrying additional gear. You can easily attach a rope, trekking poles or an axe.
