Kryptek camouflage is a commercial modern proposal of contemporary camouflage patterns in many color variants, which are characterized by originality and good camouflaging properties. The camouflage patterns were designed by the American Kryptek Outdoor Group, or more precisely by its two founders, former American soldiers Josh Cleghorn and Butch Whiting. The name ,,Kryptek" although seemingly quite Polish-sounding, is a combination of two Greek words: Kryptos and Technos, the juxtaposition of which can be literally translated as , "hidden technologies.
