Taipan TM19-384 thermal imaging monocular is a versatile device for effective observation of the environment both at night and during adverse weather conditions. The thermal imager will find use in patrol service, rescue or in the wider outdoors.
The TM19-384 is equipped with a fixed optical magnification of 1.9x. For greater observation accuracy, the model also provides digital zoom in the range of 2-8x , which allows you to see objects up to 897 meters away. The thermal imager is also equipped with a rangefinder, which allows quick measurement of the distance to the observed target. The rangefinder calculates the distance based on the data entered, marking the estimated size with a line of the top and base.
The thermal imager features a sensor with a resolution of 384 × 288 pixels, with a pixel spacing of 12 µm and a frame rate of 50 Hz. The sensitivity of the sensor allows it to capture temperature differences of less than 35 mK. The 0.4" display used was made using LCOS technology with a resolution of 1280 × 960 pixels. The thermal imaging device employs digital detail enhancement (DDE), digital noise reduction (3D DNR), automatic gain control (AGC), and Hot Spot Mark, a function that detects and tracks the highest temperature points. The Taipan TM19-384 supports Flat Field Correction (FFC) to optimize image quality.
The thermal imaging monocular offers four image display modes:
- White hot - warm in light color, the higher the temperature, the lighter the tonality,
- Black hot - warm in dark color, the higher the temperature, the darker the tonality,
- Red hot - image as in "black hot" with red highlighting of the warmest elements,
- Fusion - from high temperature to low temperature, the image is colored from white, yellow, red, pink to purple.
The model also features a function for saving photos or videos, the recorded files save to the built-in 8GB internal memory. Files can also be transferred directly to the phone using the Wi-Fi module or to a computer via the USB-C port .
The body of the thermal imager is made of polymer that is resistant to mechanical damage and shock. Thanks to its compact design and the use of seals, it meets the IP67 waterproof class, which provides protection from dust and water at a depth of up to 1 m for 30 minutes. The operating temperature range in which the thermal imager can be used is from -20 to +55 degrees Celsius.
The device is powered by a built-in rechargeable lithium battery, which makes the thermal imager capable of operating for up to 7.5 hours (with Wi-fi mode off).
The kit includes:
- thermal imager,
- wrist lanyard,
- USB/USB-C cable,
- plug,
- cloth.
