Celox Gauze Z-Fold Hemostatic Dressing

A layered tactical dressing used for the rapid stopping of hemorrhages. The dressing combines a binding substance with a carrier such as gauze. The technology used means that the smaller volume of the dressing does not affect the effectiveness in stopping bleeding. Celox dressings prevent blood loss from damaged blood vessels.

It is intended for the taming of life-threatening bleeding of moderate to high intensity, preventing blood loss from damaged blood vessels (including arteries). It should be used when conventional methods of stopping bleeding (direct compression) prove ineffective or if access to the bleeding site is not possible.

The hemostatic gauze folded in "Z" coated with Celox hemostatic preparation, allows easy and precise execution of the dressing. The layout of the carrier material used allows to reduce the volume of the dressing while maintaining the effectiveness of hemorrhage control. The shorter gauze folded in layers makes application easier and reduces application time. Easy-to-store camouflage-colored package contains one 150 cm long strip of gauze folded in layers.

Specification:
The special substance contained in these dressings - chitosan - causes hemostasis by closing off bleeding sites through the formation of a rapid clot on contact with blood (after about 3 minutes from the time of application), which does not dissolve even after washing the wound with saline.

Cheitosan. Chitosan also works on blood under hypothermia, as well as on heparinized blood.
CELOX dressings have a bactericidal effect, thus protecting the wound from infection, and are also safe because they do not cause an exothermic reaction and do not stick to the wound.

For proper and safe use of the dressing, prior training is required!
