Opinel No.12 Blister Folding Hand Saw

Lightweight and handy folding wood saw equipped with a 120 mm long stainless steel blade. Double-sided milling provides very good cutting properties. 

In the open position, the blade is locked with the Virobloc lock, patented in 1955. This is a steel ring on the handle located at the height of the blade's pivot axis. After opening the knife, we rotate it a few degrees, so that it covers the blade slot in the handle, so that the blade has no possibility of movement. In an analogous way, we secure the knife from accidental opening after folding. 

The handle is made of beech wood. It is ergonomically contoured and provides a secure grip. An additional advantage of the handle is its susceptibility to modification. The simplest would be to drill a hole on the back of the handle for a safety cable. We can also give it any texture, subject it to carving and stain it to the color of your choice.
