Edelrid Attila Tec 55 cm Hiking Ice Ax - Slate

Ice ax with a length of 55 cm made of high quality hardened steel, aluminum and thermoplastic material to prevent freezing. Ideal for both beginners and more advanced alpine hikers. It will be very suitable for alpine tourism or winter mountaineering, thanks to meeting the requirements of EN 13089 type 2 certification.

The ice ax is equipped with a serrated blade and a hardened steel blade, making it easy to drive into ice or very hard snow. To minimize weight, it uses an aluminum handle and a blade with an openwork design, which can also act as a carabiner hole for comfortable carrying.

The profiled shape of the handle and its appropriate bend allow a secure grip, free use and stabilization at different angles of inclination. The ice ax can also be used for support when climbing moderately steep slopes.

The Attila Tec features increased T-type (Technical) resistance to bending forces, this means that the ice ax can be used to set up a belay position. In addition, the fold-out palm support will work well for technical transitions or climbing without a lead.
